Carolyn's Country Cousins Pumpkin Patch is found on an 80 acre farm where the owners grow pumpkins, corn, and soybeans. 20 acres of the farm are set aside for the pumpkin patch and fall entertainment. Fall fun at the farm includes: a pumpkin patch, Little Bud's Railroad, Uncle Lester's Pig Races, a petting farm, and run and jump fun.

This 3.42 acre park is a great stop for those with kids. Larger than life figures of penguins, elephants, giraffes, and kangaroos decorate the playground. There are picnic chairs, a covered shelter, and a restroom located right next to the playground. Penguin Park lies within the Lakewood Greenway, the larger part park consists mainly of paved walking trails. These trails loop a small lake. Part of the trail meanders through the woods.
The Shoal Creek Living History Museum is the ideal stop for history buffs. Nestled upon 80 acres within Hodge Park, the museum is home to 21 authentic nineteenth century buildings (dating 1807-1885). The grounds are open daily from dusk until dawn.
